Despite their success in expanding their portfolio through numerous acquisitions in the consumer goods sector, our client experienced difficulties with consolidating and analyzing data from diverse data sources. With the growing number of acquisitions, the company faced the challenge of managing data from diverse ERP systems employed by each acquired entity. The diversity made it difficult for the client to maintain cohesion and consistency in data management, leading to fragmented insights and hindering decision-making processes.
How We Helped
The QBIX Analytics team began by conducting a thorough assessment of our client’s current data extraction process to identify areas for improvement. Our team recognized the need for a more efficient solution and started by developing custom extraction jobs tailored to each ERP system’s data structure, ensuring seamless data retrieval and eliminating the inefficiencies associated with manual processes. We decided to store the extracted data in a Snowflake centralized data warehouse that allows for seamless scaling, accommodating the increasing volume of data generated from the client’s growing portfolio of acquired companies.
Additionally, we developed comprehensive dashboards in Tableau allowing users to connect directly to our Snowflake data warehouse, build interactive visualizations, and share insights across the organization along with its shareholders.
